Onoe style Japanese classical dance instruction is available for all interested participants, regardless of age or nationality. Part of the lessons include learning dance practice etiquette and how to dress in a yukata. The dances we teach include traditional, or classical, dances as well as minyo, or folk, dances.

As of 2020, we are offering virtual dance lessons via Skype or Zoom.

稽古の流れ

尾上流菊由起の会での稽古は、礼に始まり、礼に終わります。美しい立ち居振る舞い、礼儀作法が自然と身についていく内容となっています。扇子 本で、傘、花、手紙、川など、あらゆるものを表現いたします。稽古場は、すり足で足を滑らしたときの感覚、トンと足を踏み鳴らしたときの感触を実感できるよう、本格的な檜舞台に少しでも近づけるよう工夫されています。稽古時間は、休憩をはさんで約2時間です。休憩中は、師範や弟子間で談
笑を交え、和やかな時間が流れます。
